Dr. Scott Laudon, DMD earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1984 from Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. He then continued his education in Portland, Oregon at Oregon Health Sciences University earning his Doctorate of Dentistry.
Upon graduating Dental school, Dr. Laudon decided to join the U.S. Army and served 4 years during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He later returned as a Veteran and decided to move to Alaska where he has now lived for 23 years with his wife, Lisa and their 3 children.
Dr. Laudon has been in private practice since arriving in Alaska where he has worked along the side of his Uncle Dr. Donald Burk who is now retired but continues to collaborate with 3 other of his family members which are dentists as well in the Anchorage area.
Dr. Laudon continues to take extensive advanced training courses to refine his dental skills and best serve his patients. He is also member of the American Dental Association and the Anchorage Dental Society.
Dr. Laudon is celebrating over 25 years at Alcan Dental and the practice continues to grow through the trust and referrals of his loyal patients. He helps patients to make informed decisions with their treatment plans and is an active partner in their dental care. He has won over many of his anxious patients by helping them to relax while receiving treatment with his exceptional kindness and gentle care. Dr. Laudon’s patients benefit from his passion for what he does. He loves dentistry and changing peoples smiles and has a gift for changing peoples attitudes or fear of dentistry.
Beyond clinical experience and expertise, Dr. Laudon enjoys traveling, fishing and scuba diving trips with his family. He enjoys flying and is also a licensed private pilot.
Dr. Mark Birmingham, DMD was born and raised in Adrian, Michigan. At the age of 21 he moved to Texas where he graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Management. After working in human resources and marketing for a few years he decided to follow his dream and pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Birmingham graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2015. During his dental education he spent time in Bangladesh on mission work and served as President of the Dental Student Association. After four years in Southern California he was ready for a change of pace and Alaska seemed like the perfect place to find some adventure. Mark and his wife, Lindsey, who is a physical therapist in the Anchorage area, moved to Alaska in 2015.
The Birmingham’s love the lifestyle that Alaska offers. In their free time they enjoy skiing, cycling, running, camping, and hiking with their dogs, Maggie and Hemsworth. Dr. Birmingham loves the ability that dentistry provides to get to know people here in our community and the opportunity to help individuals achieve their goals.
